I created this quote block from 1920s cattle shed.
My brother & I removed this abandoned building from his neighbor's property north of Foley, MN. The block is a section of rough sawed lumber from the building's frame.
I cut, sanded & painted them flat black. Next, I added one of my favorite quotes by Joan of Arc. The quote is hand stamped onto repurposed vintage gasket paper in kraft brown. Attached with four small, galvanized vintage nails.
Item will sit on tabletop, with no hanging hardware & is completely black on the backside.
Please note: blocks will vary slightly with unique board markings from years of aging.
