This necklace has character like no other…guess what the clear broken pieces are? Automotive headlights!

I’ve recycled them into random pieces, then continued the process by sanding each one, drilling holes & sanded again. I love the organic shapes that make them modern & artful.

I’m fascinated with the textures of the lens design. It appears that different manufactures have patented their own lens style. Some have fine lines; others have wider lines with more depth & some have a smooth surface. I also value the time worn scratches & markings they’ve received from use.

I added bicycle inner tube as fringe for extra texture & drama. The necklace band is tractor inner tube in different shapes & lengths. I’m always trying to create styles that leave zero waste behind.
