Hand-cut contemporary paper collage.

For years I have been holding onto a stack of cooking light magazines I thought I would read one day…well not so much…but I have turned them into art.

I’ve been intimidated to try this style of art, I didn’t really think I could create something with meaning & purpose by the simple act of cutting & pasting paper shapes. I guess I proved myself wrong…I’m totally hook on the playful process & the surprising results. And it’s color!

Shades of dark blues for background, negative space white fishbowl, red & black fish.
