Recycled plastic is so now in fashion. This necklace is designed with conscious awareness of keeping our environment healthy.

You might be surprised to learn that the red plastic is discarded automotive & heavy equipment taillights. I’ve recycled them into random pieces, then continued the process by sanding each one, drilling holes & sanded again. I love the organic shapes that make them modern & artful.

I’m also fascinated with the textures of the lens designs. It appears that different manufactures have patented their own lens style. Some have fine lines; others have wider lines with more depth & some have a smooth surface. I also value the time worn scratches & markings they’ve received from use.

I added bicycle inner tube as fringe for a whimsical fun style. The necklace band is tractor inner tube in different shapes & lengths. I’m always trying to create styles that leave zero waste behind.

For the trendsetter who likes a little color & bold style.
